February 2017: Wreck of WOII German submarine discovered

Scientists have found the wreck of a German submarine from World War II at nearly 900 m depth in the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of the Azores. The wreck had already been discovered last September but the discovery was not announced until February 3nd, exactly 75 years after the submarine sunk, after it had been damaged by the British destroyer HMS Westcott.
